Building a DevOps Environment on Nutanix, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Rancher in Action

A while ago, we started using Ansible to perform VM lifecycle operations on the Nutanix platform.

Now that I finally have the time, I thought it would be a good idea to write a blog post series about how we set up the Ansible environment on our test cluster and the products we use. In this series, I’ll also cover setting up Rancher on Nutanix with Prism Central integration and the Nutanix CSI driver for Kubernetes. So, join me on this journey!

Here’s what you can expect from the series:

Post 1: Setting up Rancher on k3s
Post 2: Deploying your first RKE2 downstream cluster using the Nutanix Node Driver
Post 3: Using Rancher Fleet to handle cluster configuration and deploying the Nutanix CSI driver
Post 4: Deploying AWX on Kubernetes
Post 5: Deploying Ansible Forms for AWX frontend forms.
Post 6: Summary.

Stay tuned for the first post, where we’ll dive into setting up Rancher on k3s!
